David Berman was married to his longtime wife, Cassie Berman. Cassie is an American musician and was a member of the indie rock band Silver Jews. She contributed vocals and occasionally bass to the albums Bright Flight, Tanglewood Numbers, and Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea.
David and Cassie tied the knot back in 1999 after dating for quite some time. Moreover, the wedding was held in an intimate ceremony among their family and pals. Besides, they were quite supportive of one another and even progressing together in their careers.
The couple used to share a very good bond and was spotted in concerts, programs, events and so on. Despite being married for 20 years, the pair didn't share any children.
