Jacqueline Yvonne Harry better known as Jackée, is an American actress and a television personality. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she was raised by her Trindian mother Flossie from the age of nine in in Harlem, New York.Her father was an African-american. She was an American History teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School before beginning her career as an actress. After studying acting at the Henry Street Settlement , she made her professional acting debut in 1973 in Richard Wesley's Goin' Through Changes and Broadway debut in A Broadway Musical as Melinda Bernard playing a chorine. In 1987,she became the first African American to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for 227.

Jackée Harry was born on August 14, 1956, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her birth name is Jacqueline Yvonne Harry. She is American and as far as ethnicity she is Afro-Trinidadian from her mother side and African-American from her father side.
Harry attends High School of the Performing Arts in Midtown Manhattan in New York City and learned acting. She worked as a teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School before beginning a career on the New York stage.

Jackée Harry made her acting debut with Broadway play, A Broadway Musical. Throughout her 1980s she acts in the numerous productions both on and off Broadway.
In 1983, she began her television career and debutant in Another World as Lily Mason, a role she continued until 1986. Harry appeared in numbers of movies, The Royal Family, Let's Stay Together, Girl Meets Crazy Hat, Girl Meets Demolition.
