Marcello Magni is Enjoying Marital Bliss With Wife Kathryn Hunter

It is said, opposites attract. It is so true in the case of Marcello Magni and actress Kathryn Hunter. These two individuals could not be more different. 

Marcello takes his time before making any decision, whereas, on the other hand, Hunter is more of a spontaneous person. Not only that, but they also differ in terms of basic things like eating.

The Italian native loves cooking and eating tasty meals, whereas Hunter is happy with her cigarettes and coffee. So, how did these two people with different tastes and personalities fall in love?

Well, it all started with a meeting in a bar in London in the late eighties. The pair were there to discuss a part in the play Anything for a Quiet Life. When the couple first locked eyes, no sparks flew from either side. So, it is safe to say it was not a love at first sight.

Kathyrn got the role in the play, and she and Marcello started working together. After spending time, the actress began developing feelings for him. True to her nature, she did not take much time to confess her love for him.

Much to the Kathyrn's Suprise, Marcello declined her proposal. He was not interested on her romantically, and also he was yet to be over from his past affair. It was less than a year ago; he ended a relationship, so he was not ready to start anew.

Magni and Hunter, who are professionals, did not let their issues affect their professional life. They continued to work together in the play without any problems. After three months, the pair went to Italy to do a show here.

While in Italy, Marcello got a chance to know his co-star better, and thus, his feelings towards her began to change. Soon, he realized that he likes Hunter and confessed his feelings to her at the roof of the Arabic castle in Italy.

After the trip, the couple started a live-in relationship. While living together, the lovebirds found the differences between their personalities and lifestyles. The differences sometimes led to arguments as well. 

Thankfully, the love between them was stronger than any differences. They quickly learned to accept each other habits and started adjusting accordingly.

Because of their respect of each other choices, the bond betwwen them got stronger day by day. The couple eventually tied the knot in 2010-2011 after a courtship of nearly two decades.

Marcello and his wife Kathryn, do not share any children. The saddest thing is that it is not by choice. The couple wanted to have kids and raise a family, but for much of their youth, they began occupied with their passion for arts. Sadly, when they finally decided to start a family, they were unable because of various factors, including Hunter's age. She was past her prime fertility years, and becoming pregnant got difficult.
