Raven Symone is an American actress, comedian, model, singer, songwriter, and dancer. She is a critically acclaimed actress who started her career when she was a child and continued serving the industry with her mesmerizing performance.
Early Life and Education
Raven Symone was born Raven Symone Christina Pearman on December 10, 1985, to Lydia and Christopher Pearman in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up along with her brother Blaize.
Pearman went to Park School and North Springs High School. She graduated from Academy of Art University.
Career
Raven stepped in the commercial line when she was only two. Prior to that, she featured in local print advertisements and served for Atlanta’s Young Inc. She worked with Ford Models in New York City and made her appearance in ads for Ritz crackers, Jell-O, Fisher-Price and Cool Whip.
She made her TV film debut in 1989 performing in sitcom Cosby Show. Her incredible work in the show gained her Young Artist Award and TV Land Award for Impact Award.
She then went on to star in series such as A Different World in 1989, Queen in 1993, Bill Nye the Science Guy in 1995, Space Ghost Coast to Coast in 1997, The Proud Family in 2001, That’s So Raven in 2003, Higglytown in 2005, Cory in the House in 2007, American Dad! in 2008, Sony with a Chance in 2010, Revenge of the Bridesmaids in 2010, the State of Georgia in 2011, See Dad Run in 2013 and K.C.
