Mark Neveldine was born on May 11, 1973, in Watertown, New York, United States. He is the only son of Tom Neveldine and Carolyn Dowd Fitzpatrick. He is American and belongs to the White-American ethnicity.
Passionate about movies and theatre since childhood Neveldine attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges to pursue his career in drama and screenwriting, where he graduated in drama and psychology.
Career
Soon after his graduation, Mark Neveldine moved to Manhattan alone. He acted, wrote and directed for nearly thirty productions. Later, he found his interest in off-camera activities and enrolled in cinematography and worked on several music videos, documentaries, and a television pilot.
Neveldine successful directorial venture was the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, the reboot of the Marvel Comics' superhero film Ghost Rider starring actor Nicolas Cage which he worked along with partner Brian Taylor and it earned $132.6 million in the box office.
He then officially collaborated with director Brian Taylor and professionally they are known as Neveldine & Taylor. Together they directed and wrote various films including Crank, its sequel, Crank: High Voltage, Pathology, Gamer and so on.
