“We just clicked instantly.Kevin is kind and brilliant, he loves music and is an incredible movie-quoter, something I rate very highly.”

“It was really gross, dingy, Lower East Side dungeon kind of bar. It [looked] like lesbian night that night, so there was a lot of women snuggling, which is totally cool.”
She explained:
“But he was really embarrassed. He was like, ‘Oh my god, this is not what I meant to bring you to. Oh my god.’ I think his friend was punking him.”
The couple tied the knot in 2012 in a traditional Jewish ceremony which was held in at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Platten and her husband Lazan have lived five years of blissful married life after dating for five long years. The pair doesn't share any children together but we are hoping they will soon drop the big baby news.

The Emmy winner shared how she bounced back after her first two albums failed in the chart with the support of her husband. She said:
“I’m married to an amazing man, we’ve been together for 10 years, and he’s a huge reason why I kept believing in my dreams.”
Not only Lazan but Platten is also quite a supportive wife. According to some sources, the singer wrote the song Superman for her husband Lazan when his father was ill.
“I really love ‘Superman.’ My husband was going through a pretty tough time, and his dad got sick and we were dealing with that during the writing on this album. I couldn’t be there as much as I wanted to be there. I felt really selfish and like I wasn’t being a good partner.”
She added:
“And the only thing I could do was write him a song, right? I’m like 3,000 miles away, and I wrote him that song, being like, you have been there for me, very loving and very supportive. And look, you don’t have to be strong right now. I got you. So I’m really glad I got to include that one.”
Currently, they reside in their home in Santa Monica, California raising their dog, Dinno.

"I can’t believe I’m finally typing these words – I have wanted to share this news for months."
She continued,
"As I thought about how to share what I have been experiencing, I became paralyzed about doing it the exact, perfect way — how to express all of my total bliss and yet all this fear too?"
"I finally realized that I can’t worry about making being ME comfortable for everybody else, I have to share this journey MY WAY: with honesty, vulnerability, love and an open heart."
