Disgusting! Andi Mack star Stoney Westmoreland Arrested For Enticing A 13-Year-Old For Sex
Stoney Westmoreland arrived in a ride-share car in Salt Lake City trailer park late on 13th December Thursday, where he was arrested. He was allegedly attempting to have a sexual relationship with an online acquaintance who was 13. The 48-year-old actor on the Disney Channel series “Andi Mack,” had been using a dating app to meet a minor and sent explicit photos, authorities have confirmed.

Disney Grandpa Arrested on Sexual Offence Charges!
Stoney Westmoreland, the Andi Mack star is reportedly arrested for sexual offense charges. The actor reportedly arrived in a ride-share car in Salt Lake City trailer park late on 13th December Thursday, where he was arrested.
He was allegedly attempting to have a sexual relationship with an online acquaintance who was 13. The 48-year-old actor had been using a dating app to meet the minor and sent explicit photos, authorities have confirmed.
But little did the actor know that it was a sting operation. The police were trying to grab the actor who plays the role of a grandpa in the Disney TV series for enticing the teenager to have sex.

Detective Greg Wilking, a spokesman for the Salt Lake City Police Department, told the media on Saturday,
“He arranged to meet up with what he thought was a 13-year old.”
The actor who appeared in the films like War Dogs, Matchstick Men and Godzilla was caught in a sting that was executed with the help of mobile applications. The police waited for Westmoreland as midnight was approaching and arrested him in the sting without any sort of incident.
Stoney was charged with five felony counts for the misdeed. One count of enticing a minor by Internet or text and four other counts of dealing in harmful material to a minor. It has not been confirmed yet which app Westmoreland allegedly used, or what gender he thought the child was.

Westmoreland is being detained at the Salt Lake County Jail as of Saturday afternoon, suggested by the jail records. It is not clear if he has an attorney fighting his case. Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates, his management agency also didn't entertain any comments regarding this issue.
Westmoreland depicts the role of Ham, one of few adult characters on “Andi Mack” and the wise grandfather of the main character. His co-stars range from 14 to 17 years old and their safety was in question so he was, subsequently, fired from the Disney network on Friday.

The spokeswoman for Disney network, Patti McTeague told in an official statement,
“Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role and he will not be returning to work on the series which wraps production on its third season next week.”
Before smartphones, police officers would have to skim through message boards and chat rooms to find adults trying to hook-up with minors. It was more difficult and labor intensive in earlier years but it has been simplified in the present days.
