After being a physician for several years Iseman began doing stand-up comedy. He worked with the improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings to enhance his comedy career.

He, later, became a full-time professional comedian in the year 2002. He performed several USO shows in Afganistan, South Korea, Bosnia, and Hungary.
