An imposing name in the music industry, Lenny Kravitz is one of the few musicians who've cemented a career based on more than just their musical talents. Of course, the rock musician is widely known for his stellar decades-long career, but Kravitz's messages of love, unity, peace, and a sustainable life have won him a legion of fans. Since his debut in 1989 with the album Let Love Rule, Lenny has evolved to become a multi-hyphenated star, taking up acting and entrepreneurship.  

Leonard Albert Kravitz was born on May 26, 1964, in New York City to television news producer Sy Kravitz and Roxie Roker. Lenny developed and honed his skills in music at a young age and made his venture into the industry by the early 80s. Kravitz would gradually become a renowned name in the 90s and as a result, attract wide media scrutiny of his personal life. The It Ain't Over Till It's Over crooner was famously married to Lisa Bonet.

Lenny was married to actress Lisa Bonet for over five years and the now-long estranged pair are known as the most beloved and coolest blended family in Hollywood.  

Lenny met Lisa, best known for starring in The Cosby Show, at a backstage of a concert in 1985. Kravitz was yet to be reckoned as the most promising singer then and Bonet was already a big star. The Grammy winner recalls how he and the actress connected on every level. "We vibed immediately. Time stood still. Without a lot being said, there was magnetism," Lenny writes in his memoir Let Love Rule.  

The duo's platonic relationship soon turned romantic and in 1987, they tied the knot in the typical Hollywood couple fashion by eloping to Las Vegas. The twosome welcomed their only child, daughter Zoe Bonet Kravitz, a year later in December 1988. Their daughter has risen to a such caliber that it wouldn't be a shock if people recognize Lenny and Bonet as the parents of Zoe Kravitz. Some of Zoe's most notable acting credits are X-Men: First Class, Big Little Lies, The Batman, and Dope.  

Lenny and Lisa announced their separation in 1991 and finalized their divorce in 1993. Kravitz, 58, who has never been married since then, later revealed that they were not prepared to make the commitment of a lifetime during the time. "I think I just wasn't ready," Lenny said, adding, "I had to take a break. I went through a lot of emotional things, a lot of deaths in my family."  

 Lisa, on the other hand, began a stable relationship with actor Jason Momoa in 2005 and welcomed two kids with the actor before marrying him in 2017 and announcing their separation in 2022. The Let Love Fly hitmaker shares a close relationship with his ex-wife, Momoa, and their kids. "People can't believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with Zoë's mom, how we all relate," Kravitz explained.

Perhaps Lenny was never a husband-material guy. Either that or the singer just can't find the one for himself. After his divorce from Bonet, Lenny never walked down the aisle again but didn't steer clear of the dating pool. After his notable marriage with The Cosby Show actress, Lenny famously started dating model Vanessa Paradis. The pair's similar situation in life was what attracted them to each other.   

The pair crossed paths in 1991; Kravitz and Bonet had just called it quits and Paradis was fresh out of a relationship with singer-songwriter Florent Pagny. Paradis wanted Kravitz to produce her first album. "I think Vanessa is a very intense young lady. I think she's extremely talented," Lenny said after collaborating with Paradis on her self-titled album. The couple dated from 1991 to 1996 and were often called the most fashionable couple of the period. 

"I was madly in love with her. Vanessa was the perfect woman, but she came at the wrong time," Lenny said after their shocking split. The rock singer was single for a while and it was only in 2001 that he officially started dating Brazilian model Adriana Lima. At the height of their three-year-long relationship, Lenny featured his girlfriend in his music video for Yesterday is Gone in 2002 and also got engaged to her the same year. The couple called off their engagement in 2003.  

Kravitz secretly started dating actress Nicole Kidman in 2003 and even allegedly got engaged to her during their one year of romance. The multiple Grammy winner hasn't sparked any dating rumors in a while. Kravitz was last linked with model Barbara Fialho in 2018. The pair were pictured on a steamy date once and were never heard of afterward.
