Born in a famous and affluent household, Lily Allen's eventual career choice in showbiz was somewhat predicted and decided. Her father is actor Keith Allen, and her mom is English producer Alison Owen. Allen grew up brazenly chaotic and the chaos pretty much followed her into her adulthood. "It was never a normal childhood, how could it be? I was always a bit non-conformist and did my own thing," the singer explains.  

Born Lily Rose Beatrice Allen on May 2, 1985, in Hammersmith, West London, she entered the world of acting at the age of 3 before being discovered by Canadian soprano Rachel Santesso, who efficiently ushered young Lily to find her calling in music. Allen kicked off her singing career with her debut album, Alright, Still, in 2006. Today, Lily continues to reign over pop music as one of the most notable English faces of the genre.

Lily Allen is a happily married woman and her husband is none other than Netflix's Stranger Things fame David Harbour, 47, also known for his roles in War of the Worlds, W. E, Parkland, Suicide Squad, and Hellboy.

The unlikely pair were first linked in 2019 after they were pictured together at the BAFTA tea party. Fans grew more suspicious of the pair's increasing public appearances until one day Lily sneakily confirmed that the two were indeed an item. Allen and her actor beau were Instagram-official by late 2019.

Although still in a fairly new relationship, the Fear crooner and Harbour sparked engagement rumors in November after Allen was spotted with- what looked like an engagement ring. The speculation of an impending wedding went on but the couple didn't comment on it and suddenly, things were put into perspective when the news of the duo obtaining a marriage license got out in September 2020. The pair tied the knot on September 7, 2020, at the Graceland Chapel in a classic Elvis Presley impersonator-officiated wedding.

"In a wedding officiated by the king himself," David writes in his caption, adding,  "the people's princess wed her devoted, low-born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away amid a global pandemic."

Gushing about his new bride, the actor said in an interview, "I married a beautiful, incredible woman who I love. I have never met someone who is so deeply kind as her. I've never felt so taken care of."

The happily married pair have since candidly spoken about their future and their plans for kids. The Not Fair hitmaker shared how she's happy at the moment and isn't planning on having kids this instant. So, it might be a few years before Allen and Harbour can have their kids, but at least, the two have got Lily's daughters, Ethel, 11, and Marnie, 9, to spoil.

The Stranger Things actor reportedly shares a close bond with Lily's kids. David revealed it was the singer's daughters who inspired him to propose to Lily.

Throughout her life in the spotlight, Lily has had her share of romances- a few of which left a devastating effect on the Brit. The Hammersmith-born singer was still at the onset of her bright career when she started dating Seb Chew in 2005. The pair lasted for over two years before Lily called it quits in 2007. The Grammy-nominated singer was famously involved with musician Ed Simons from 2007 to 2008.

The duo was even expecting a baby at one point before Allen suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in early 2008. The miscarriage sent Lily into the pits of depression and the pair had to put an end to their relationship. "Because there was so much pain associated with everything that happened, for me, I just needed to get away," Lily said after their split. Following her breakup with Simmons, Allen was briefly linked with Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, who reportedly became a confidant to her amid the chaotic period. 

The How to Build a Girl actress would spark a few more casual dating headlines, including with art dealer Jay Jopling before entering a more serious relationship with builder Sam Cooper, who'll become her first husband. Lily and Cooper started dating in 2009 and experienced a bump at the head start when Allen suffered a stillbirth during their first pregnancy. The pair navigated the pain somehow and announced their engagement in December 2010.

Lily and her beau walked down the aisle in June 2011 and welcomed their first daughter, Ethel, in 2011, and another, Marnie, in 2013. The pair split ways in 2015 and Lily later revealed that she was suffering from postnatal depression when she cheated on her husband with female escorts in 2014. In her memoir, My Thoughts Exactly, the singer also opened up about her fling with Liam Gallagher.
