Well, yet another couple is going through a divorce. Michelle Kwan and Clay Pell tied the knot two years back and now they are divorcing.
It's pretty sad to hear that a duo who was in love with each other has now decided to go their separate ways.

Once a very happy couple Michelle and her husband have recently filed for a divorce. Clay was the one that filed for the divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

Although, Clay didn't ask for spousal support from his wife but he asked for the fees to be given to his lawyer.
The love birds first met on April 2011 and got engaged on September 3, 2012.
Clay who is an attorney and previously worked as the director of strategic planning on the National Security staff at the White House under Barack Obama's administration tied the knot with Michelle in 2013 in Providence, Rhode Island.
After filing the divorce, Clay released a statement and said,
“It is with deep regret that I share that Michelle’s and my marriage is coming to an end. This is a sad and difficult turn of events for our family. I love Michelle, and wish her the very best as her life takes her in a new direction.”
The statement does indicate that the couple may have tried to make their marriage work but in the end, it didn't work out.
The couple has no children between them.
After retiring from the game in 2006, the two times Olympic medal winner Kwan turned to politics.
She also campaigned for her husband while he was running for governor in the Rhode Island.
After her retirement, she went on to complete her Master degree and joined the State Departments while under the secretary Hillary Clinton and during the 2016 Presidential election she became Surrogate outreach coordinator for Hillary.
The couple has taken this decision by their own accordance and they must have thought this through before taking the big of a decision.

Well, Michelle is currently motivating women all across the country to live up to their dreams and do what they feel is right.
Michelle is one tough woman and despite the divorce, she recently attended a seminar about Women's Empowerment.
We are not surprised, though, because we all know how tough and brave Michelle is.
