On an interview with People.com, Dave revealed how he proposed Odette. He told that he knew that Odette was the one for him. In the same way, Odette told the sources that she didn't expect that happening. She quoted:
" I was terrified. He pulled out the ring and I literally said that's not real. Instead of jumping and saying "Yes', I shouted at him "What are you doing?"
