Songstress Ariana Grande has confirmed her breakup with her boyfriend of nearly two years, Mac Miller in an Instagram post on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Side to Side singer showed the green signal to her split reports which had been swirling over the internet for last two days. TMZ first broke the news on Wednesday citing sources confirmed their separation.

Multiple sources had claimed that the reason for their separation was their busy work schedule. The pair was reportedly unable to see each other for a while due to their hectic workloads.

Grande wrote a lengthy note about her breakup with the singer Malcolm McCormick alongside their photo. Grande wrote,

Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick.

Grande further wrote,

I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!

She went on writing,

Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it's not you. I can't wait to know and support you forever and I'm so proud of you!!

The couple will remain friends in their upcoming days and have great love and respect for each other, sources confirmed to the outlets. The ex-lovebirds last made their public appearance as a couple in Oscar Awards this year. They were packed on a PDA at an afterparty by American singer Madonna.

The pair started dating since 2016 and they first went to the public as a couple in that August.

Ariana Grande is now preparing for the opening of 2018 Billboard Music Awards which will be held on May 20 and will be telecasted in the NBC network.
