Tape Face aka Sam Wills met his future wife, Felicity Redman (aka Lili La Scala) at the World Buskers Festival in Christchurch in 2007. She is an English burlesque performer. Belonging to a similar professional background, the pair developed an instant connection and started dating soon after.
They got engaged in 2008 and took a year to get married in 2009. It might be an interesting fact for you people that they tied the knot in a "symbolic wedding" ceremony as stated by Stuff NZ on 9 January 2009 in Christchurch as a beginning of the year's World Buskers Festival.

He attempted his first Pulp Comedy appearance in 2001 and received the Best New Face Award. He was declared 'Prince of Cringe' from Truth and TV Extra magazine.
He auditioned in the Season 11 premiere of AGT on 31 May 2016 under the name The Boy With Tape On His Face and became the finalist. He appeared on the fourth week of America's Got Talent: Champions on 28 January 2019.
