Chris Evans Is Dating Actress Alba Baptista

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista are reportedly in a "serious relationship." The new lovebirds were spotted holding hands in their first PDA snap!

People's 2022 sexiest man alive, Chris Evans, is off the dating market. The Captain America star has been seemingly keeping his romance with actress Alba Baptista under wraps, but the cats are finally out of the bag. It all started when Evans, 41, posted some random pumpkin snap on his Instagram, and the rumors swirled when eagle-eyed fans realized it was the same pumpkin snap Baptista's mother, Elba Baptista, used as her profile pic.  

Looking back at the duo's latent timeline, it all adds up. Baptista started following Evans and his family members in early 2021, and it has since been presumed that the two met when Chris was filming The Gray Man and Alba was filming Warrior Nun. Although we haven't heard from the duo, an insider claimed the actors have been in a relationship for over a year. They have been dating "for over a year, and it's serious," the source said.   

"They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her," the insider further added. Evans and Baptista's recent stroll around Central Park also verifies the duo's beyond the platonic relationship. The Marvel actor and the Nothing Ever Happened actress was pictured holding each other hands as they walked through the streets with twinning sunglasses and masks.   

Earlier this week, Evans left a flirty comment under Baptista's post on her upcoming film, A Dream in Paris, furthering the romance rumors. Evans' new flame, Alba Baptista, is a 25-year-old Portuguese actress. Born to an engineer father and a translator mother, Baptista kicked off her acting with a short film called Miami. She has since raked credits in Fatima (2020), Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2020), and the Netflix series Warrior Nun.   

"Its serious," an insider says about Evans and Baptista's relationship!  

After being named the sexiest man alive earlier this week, Evans candidly spoke about his plans to get married and have a traditional family. "That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family," the Fantastic Four actor said. Evans added, "When you read about most of the best artists, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of]; it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."  

While it's still early to assume if Evans has found the one in Baptista, the Marvel actor has had a few similar low-key romances throughout his career. Chris was linked with Lily James in 2020 after they were spotted getting cozy in London. He dated his Gifted co-star Jenny Slate for nearly a year in 2017. Evans and Minka Kelly had an on-and-off thing for years before they parted ways for good in 2015. Evans' other ex-flames include Lily Collins, Sandra Bullock, Jessica Biel, Ashley Greene, and Christina Ricci.
