Elon Musk doesn't Own a House - Billionaire Crashes at Friends Home

The world's richest person, Elon Musk, acknowledged that he doesn't have his own house. In a video interview with TED's Chris Anderson, Elon stated that he sleeps in his friends' spare bedrooms for the most part.

The wealthiest human in the world, Elon Musk, doesn't own a house! In a TED conversation with Chris Anderson, billionaire Elon Musk revealed that he practically crashes at his friend's place in California's Bay Area.

Besides crashing at his friend's residence, Elon visits Ken Howery's lavish Waterfront Estate in Texas. Ken is a billionaire who had worked together with Musk at PayPal.

Even The Tesla boss can afford a dozen of the most luxurious things; he doesn't even own a Yacht but admitted that his private plane is the only exception. The billionaire tech magnate stated when he came across a comment that ridiculed billionaires for their money.

Further, the Tesla boss doesn't show off wealth like his nemesis, Amazon's owner Jeff Bezos. In May 2020, via a Twitter post, he announced of leaving all his physical possession and will own no house.

"If I travel to the Bay Area, which is where most of Tesla's engineering is, I rotate through friends' spare bedrooms. For sure, it would be very problematic if I was spending billions of dollars a year in personal consumption, but that is not the case," Musk answered a question about the wealth disparity between the average US citizen and billionaire.

To be precise, Elon answered Anderson's question, saying that many people are not satisfied with billionaires' image due to the world's imbalance of income and wealth. US lawmaker, Senator Elizabeth Warren, has chastised billionaires for low tax bills.

Additionally, the ex-girlfriend of Elon, Canadian singer Grimes spoke to Vanity Fair, saying Musk indeed leads a simple life to the point of living below. The two had a child in May 2020, a boy they called X AE A-12.

Elon Musk is a self-made billionaire who possesses a whopping $269.5 billion. He owns 21% of Tesla and 9.2% of Twitter, as per Forbes magazine. Musk was a child prodigy who taught himself to code. His first game Blastar which he wrote in 1984, was sold for $500.

The father of seven acknowledged that his usage is minimal from his wealth. Elon, earlier this year, had promised to put all his properties under his name for sale. He had already traded Gene Wilder's former mansion from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
