Similarly, another fan thanked him for using his platform to spread awareness of this horrible situation in the USA.

Mark is the latest South Korean celebrity who has shown support to the cause. Before him, Jay Park, Crush, and DAY6's Jae, rapper pH-1, TIGER JK, and F(x) 's Amber voiced to the cause.

A point that is noticed by Kpop fans is that most of the idols coming to the support of Black Lives Matter and Floyd are someone who is born or raised in North America.

Many black Kpop fans are hoping that Kpop idols of native Korea also support this cause. Mainly they want a word from boy band BTS who are worldwide phenomena and has an even bigger platform than GOT7.

The George Floyd Memorial Fund is run by George Floyd's brother, Philonise Floyd, and the funds will go to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling, lodging, and travel for all court proceedings, and to assist the family while seeking justice.

People from all around the world are contributing to the fund after the video of Floyd's death became viral. In the video, a white Minneapolis police officer who is later identified as Derek Michael Chauvin is seen kneeling directly on George's neck for nearly nine minutes.

Floyd's family believes that the action of the Chauvin is responsible for the death of  46-year-old Floyd. As of  June 1, 2020, more than six million is raised of $1.5 million goal. For many, a donation to this fund is a symbol of supporting the Black Lives Matter and protesting racial injustice in the USA.
