While partnering with Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel and their CareWalk initiatives, Jennie Garth recalls her battle with arthritis as her daughter suffers from a painful arthritis diagnosis.

Jennie Garth recalls her daughter's health struggles after revealing her osteoarthritis diagnosis. With every mom's worst nightmare, Jennie's daughter Lola, 19, had rare inflammatory arthritis.

Talking to PEOPLE exclusively, Jennie said," She actually had a rare type of inflammatory arthritis called Still's Disease. Seeing my daughter suffer was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through."

The 50-year-old's daughter's situation got so bad that she needed medical treatment in the hospital for several days. It wasn't an easy time for their whole family. The 90210 star's entire family felt the difficulty as the actress did her best to raise her kids at home.

The ex-couple couldn't do anything to prevent Lola's struggle with arthritis, but Jennie discussed the importance of health at her home, stating that good food can make a difference.

To add up, the Growing Pains actress's next two daughters Luca 25, and Fiona, 16, whom she welcomed with her former husband, Peter Facinelli, don't have a similar health problem.

Young Lola's mom also deals with arthritis in the family. She told PEOPLE about her struggle with the disease, which affects not only the joints but sometimes other parts of the body like the lungs, heart, and liver.

" I was shocked to hear the news from my doctor after going in and complaining about some pain in my knees and my hips and different places around my body and wondered what was going on, the lady added.

Further, the former Melrose Place star explains, "And I was shocked to hear the word arthritis come out of his mouth. Because I kind of associate arthritis with, I'm not old enough to have arthritis. Lets put it that way. You can have arthritis at any age and I wasn't really aware of that."

The mother of three has constantly fed her girls extremely healthy diets. The family lived a healthy lifestyle and grew up plant-based. Overall, Lola is now living a pain-free life and is off on her own.
