Tom Hiddleston & Zawe Ashton are Engaged!

The Loki star Tom Hiddleston confirms his engagement to Zawe Ashton. The actor publicly spoke for the first time about his engagement on BAFTAS red carpet in March.

Tom Hiddleston has officially confirmed his engagement to Zawe Ashton three months after getting down to one knee. "I'm very happy," the actor said to the Los Angeles Times in an interview on Tuesday.

Well, Tom,41, sparked speculation in March that he had proposed to the actress, 37, when they were snapped ahead of the 2022 BAFTA Awards. The couple was smitten in a shot with British television presenter AJ Odudu, and Ashton flaunted a diamond ring on her left hand.

To add up, Ashton, While the pair didn't confirm their relationship status at the time, the famous outlet Page Six addressed that they got engaged. The lovebirds have been dating since 2019 but only made their red carpet debut in September 2021.

Tom, whose announcement comes months after the BAFTA, relatively was private about his work and romantic life. In an interview with The Telegraph in 2017, the guy explained, "I love what I do, and I dedicate myself with an absolute commitment to making great art and entertainment."

"And in my mind, I don't conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate," he continued." I'm protective of my internal world now in probably a different way. That's because I didn't realize it needed protecting before," Tom shared in NY Times.

Speaking of which, the Serpent of Essex star met his partner while working on the 2019 West End revival of Betrayal. Ashton will appear next in the regency romance Mr. Malcom's Lit and portray the villain in the MCU's The Marvels.

The ex Betrayal co-stars stunned at the Tony Awards with her beau, who donned a navy suit, and his partner rocked a red gown. The duo wrapped their arms around one another while posing for pictures at the event.

The "Loki" actor dated actress Susannah Fielding from 2008 to 2011 and Taylor Swift in 2016. After the split, Mr. Hiddleston explained his brief relationship with the "Love Story" hitmaker, saying, "She's generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time."

In addition, the  Golden Globe Winner that he wanted a stable relationship with the singer, who is now in a relationship with English actor Joe Alwyn. " I only know the woman I met. A relationship in the limelight takes work," he described.
