Internet Is Enraged By Vanessa Hudgens Coronavirus Comment; 'Death Is Inevitable'
Vanessa Hudgens recently made sensitive comments over people being diagnosed with the life-taking Coronavirus and the internet isn't having it.
Former Disney star and singer, Vanessa Hudgens recently made a live video chat on Instagram to share a few thoughts over the outbreak of COVID-19. And, some of the words that came out of Hudgens' mouth weren't pleased to hear, especially for the most part of the internet.
Speaking to the camera, the actress who made it big through High School Musical began by saying: "It's a virus, I get it like I respect it, but at the same time, like even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are gonna die, it's just terrible."
"But like inevitable," said the actress before adding, "I don't know, maybe I shouldn't be doing this now" in a baby voice. Vannesa then can be heard chuckling. And, as soon as she said it, many didn't hold back to instantly scrutinize her expressions.
Whilst some called her childish, others pointed out she was either too high or drunk to be saying nonsense stuff like that. Some fans also claimed that the 31 years old actress was upset over of the cancellation of Coachella this year due to Coronavirus.
One said: "#Vanessahudgens - People are losing their jobs. They are dying. They are sick. They have no money. No groceries. No contact with loved ones. And you're moaning about coachella being postponed til July. If I were in charge of coachella I'd ban you out of spite."
Another one, likewise, tweeted: "Vanessa Hudgens mad Coachella got cancelled because of the virus, she won't be able to get one minute of fame she gets every year being the 'queen of Coachella',"
Celebrities including fellow actor Logan Lerman also called Hudgens a 'schmuck.' The actor was seen under a quoted tweet of Soledad O'Brien who replied to a post that said the message sent by Vanessa to her younger fans was heartless.
Model and TV host, Chrissy Teigen, however, sided and came forward to show her support to Vanessa and tweeted: "sometimes people, especially famous people, are gonna say really stupid shit. & so are you. and they, and u, will learn from it & hopefully their history says they’re good. it’s ok."
Following the flood of criticism against Hudgens, the actress who broke up from long-term boyfriend, Austin Butler, earlier this year, later shared an apology statement and video.
