Camryn Manheim was born on March 8, 1961, as Debra Frances Manheim in Caldwell, New Jersey whereas grew up in Peoria, Illinois. Sylvia, her mother was a school teacher while her father Jerome Manheim was a mathematics professor. She is of Jewish descent.
Manheim went to Woodrow Wilson Classical High School and then enrolled at University of California, Santa Cruz and earned a BFA degree. He also attended Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program and acquired MFA degree.

In her early days, Camryn worked at Renaissance fair. Afterward, she served as a sign language interpreter at hospitals. She expertly used her skill in an episode of Law & Order, The Practice as well as in the movie Mercury Rising.
She then got an opportunity to perform in an array of popular television shows such as How I Met Your Mother in 2005, Two and a Half Men in 2004, The L Word in 2004, Chicago Hope in 1996, Hannah Montana in 2007 and many others.

Manheim is a single mother. Her son Milo Manheim was born on March 6, 2001. According to an American supermarket tabloid National Enquirer, the father of the child is a model and a former college basketball player Jeffrey Brezovar.
However, the rumor went down when Jeffrey clarified that he was just a sperm donor and nothing more.
Camryn has a good relationship with her son as he frequently appears on Camryn's Instagram posts. Milo followed the footsteps of his mother and became an actor. He is best known for playing the role of Zed in the 2018 Disney Channel Original Movie Zombies.

Manheim is not married and is taking care of her child without a husband. She is linked with Bet Tzedek Legal Services-The House of Justice, a Los Angeles-based charity and for their annual fundraiser, The Justice Ball served as a co-chair.
