Constantine Yankoglu first met his now ex-wife Patricia Heaton at a drama class in the early eighties. Soon, the couple started dating and, in 1984, got married in the presence of their close ones. Sadly, the marriage lasted only three years, and by 1987, the pair were divorced. However, the reason behind their separation is not known yet.

Everybody Loves Raymond actress, in her biography in 2003, stated that her first marriage was an impulsive mistake. In the same interview, she also revealed that it was tough to deal with the divorce as she felt like a failure.

“There was no compatibility there. So, that marriage lasted three years, and then it was over. To get divorced, especially being from a Catholic family, is a huge failure. I felt like a huge failure in this very important part of my life.”
