Ellie Zweifel has been dating the American professional swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Robert "Bobby" Finke, since November 2018. Likewise, Zweifel even showed up at Finke for the first time via an Instagram post on August 10, 2019.

At the 2018 Speedo Champions Series held in Columbia. Ellie finished seventh in the 50-yard backstroke. She is now counted as the Missouri State Record Holder in the 200-yard medley relay.
