She is an Egyptian-American television personality who is currently serving as the news anchor and television host. She co-hosts the program Today Show's fourth hour with Kathie Lee Gifford. She is a winner of a Daytime Emmy Award in 2010 as well. She had attended Fort Hunt High School and graduated in Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Virginia Tech. Her parents are from Egypt.
Hoda Kotb was born on August 9, 1964, in Norman, Oklahoma to A.K. Kotb and Samaha Kotb. She was raised in different place of US like; Morgantown, West Virginia and Alexandria, Virginia along with her two siblings.

After almost three years gap she released her second book, Ten Years Later: Six People Who Faced Adversity and Transformed Their Lives. In 2016, she came up with her third book Where They Belong: The Best Decisions People Almost Never Made.
Hoda Kotb is romantically involved with Joel Schiffman, an American financier based in New York City and Boston. The duo is together since 2013 and in February 2017, they adopted a baby girl named Haley Joy‘s.
Kotb who was unable to conceive a child after a battle with breast cancer has got a new life after the entry of her daughter. Joel has an adult daughter, Kyle from his previous marriage.
Prior to Joel, Hoda was married to Burzis Kanga, the former U.N.O tennis coach. The couple tied the knot in 2005. However, their relationship couldn't last long so the couple divorced after two years of their marriage. She is a breast cancer survivor.
