Louis C.K is an American comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, and editor. He began his career writing for several comedy shows in the 1990s and early 2000s. Louis is the son of Mary Louise Székely, a software engineer and Luis Székely, an economist. C.K started his own hour-long HBO stand-up comedy special titled "Shameless." He also had supporting roles in the critically acclaimed films Blue Jasmine and American Hustle. He had also written and directed the indented movies and shorts movies on the Showtime cable network.
Early Life Of Louis C.K.
Louis C.K. was born as Louis A. Szekely on 12 September 1967 in Washington DC. His father Luis Szekely is Mexican-Hungarian and his mother Mary Szekely was of American-Irish descent. The family had migrated to Mexico City when he was 1.
At age 7, Louis' family moved to Boston, Massachusetts and when he was 10, his parents separated. He had three sisters and all 4 were raised in Newton, MA. He studied at the Newton North High School. He decided to work in TV and films for a living.
Louis C.K.'s Career
C.K. began his career as an auto mechanic and also served within the local cable station that was located in Boston. After his graduation, he started searching his career as a comedian. In 1984, when CK was 17, he directed short movie Trash Day. He then did several stand-up shows before moving to Saturday Night Live (SNL).
In 1993, he joined SNL as a scriptwriter and started writing for Late Night with Conan O’Brien show. After serving for several years at SNL, he showed interest towards filmmaking. In 1998, he wrote and directed the independent black and white Tomorrow Night. From 2010-2015, he appeared in his own sitcom Louie, aired on HBO.
Louis C.K.'s Personal Life
Louis was once married but currently single. He was married to former New York-based artist and painter, Alix Bailey in 1995. This couple had two daughters, Mary Louise Székely and Kitty Székely.
The couple ended their relationship with a divorce in 2008. However, they share a joint custody of their daughters. After his divorce, he is living a single life and there is no news on his affairs or on his relationship.
In November 2017, The NY Times published an article in which numbers of women accused him of sexual misconduct including Dana Goodman, Julia Wolov, Abby Schachner and Rebecca Corry. He admitted that their stories were true, and he expressed remorse for his actions.
