Matt Eby's professional accomplishments are well documented and appreciated. However, his personal life is no less than a mystery. The only aspect of his family life that is well-known is that his wife is "60 Minutes" correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi.

Eby first met his future life partner in Washington, D.C., through a mutual friend. The couple bonded in their first meeting only and soon started dating.

At that time, Eby's former girlfriend now wife was studying at the University of Mississippi, and he was based in Washington. Despite the distance, the pair continued their relationship and eventually tied the knot in 1995.

The Harvard Business graduate previously was the founder and Chief Investment Officer(CIO) of JAWS Estates Capital. While in this post, he handled he Initial Public Offering(IPO) of Starwood Property Trust. He was sucessful in raising the transaction of over $930 million, which is the 3rd largest REIT IPO in history.

The former Navy officer started his financial career in 2002 at Morgan Stanley. He worked for a year in the post of an Associate.
