Married Life with Her Ex-Husband Leland Chapman

In the early 1990s, Maui Chapman and Leland Chapman crossed paths at a 4th of July party organized by a mutual friend. They dated for a few months and got married in 1994. They welcomed their first son, Dakota Chapman, on March 24, 1995. Their second son, Cobie Chapman, was born on December 7, 2000.

Maui and Leland appeared together on the A&E Network reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter, which followed the adventures of Duane Chapman and his family as they hunted down fugitives across the US.

Leland Chapman, his father Duane “Dog” Chapman, and his colleague Tim Chapman faced arrest charges in 2006 for a bounty hunt in Mexico. They had captured Andrew Luster, a fugitive and serial rapist, in Puerto Vallarta on June 18, 2003. However, the Mexican government accused them of “deprivation of liberty” and requested their extradition.

The trio posted bail in Mexico but skipped their court hearing on July 15, 2003. They were arrested by U.S. Marshals on September 14, 2006, but released on bail in the U.S. The charges against them were eventually dropped in 2007 after a long legal battle.

Leland Chapman: From Bounty Hunt to Bail Bond Business

Leland Chapman, the son of the famous Dog the Bounty Hunter Duane Chapman, has had a successful career as a bounty hunter and a TV personality. After he was cleared of the charges of deprivation of liberty in Mexico in 2007, he joined forces with his brothers Duane Lee and Wesley Chapman to create Chapbros Media. He also starred in the reality shows Dog and Beth: On the Hunt and Dog’s Most Wanted alongside his father and stepmother Beth Chapman.

Further, he has also established his own bail bond company in Hawaii, called Kama’ina Bail Bonds. In 2015, he moved to Alabama and married Jamie Pilar Chapman, a tattoo artist, model, and actress. He continues to work as a bail agent and sometimes assists his father in capturing fugitives. Leland is a devoted family man and a fearless bounty hunter.
