Mike Magnum shared a post on his Facebook account on June 3, revealing his injured left arm. He underwent rotator cuff surgery and took a month's leave from his meteorologist duty.

Furthermore, Mike had to undergo surgery as he couldn't point with his left hand. However, the cause of injury is not learned yet. The injury is expected to be due to a motor accident, as Mike is also a licensed amateur racer. 

At present in 2021, Mike is fully recovered and makes regular appearances as a meteorologist for WCVB Channel-5  since June 13. Mike also took few physical therapies for his speedy recovery.
