Nelly Furtado is a Mom to a Daughter

Singer Nelly Furtado is currently raising her 13-year-old daughter Nevis Gahuhia. The singer-songwriter gave birth to daughter Nevis on 20 September 2003 with ex-boyfriend Jasper Gahunia. In the meantime, Nelly prefers to sit at home and bake some muffins for her daughter.

Furtado is possibly single at the moment. She has not been spotted with any men ever since split from her daughter's father, Jasper Gahunia. They remained close friends for several years and later took it to the next level in 2001. Unfortunately, the couple broke up amicably in late 2005. Furtado and Gahunia, however, promised each other to co-parent Nevis.

Mother of Two More Children

In a surprising revelation on her Instagram account in December 2021, Nelly Furtado shared that she has two more kids—a son named Myres, born in 2017, and a daughter named Violet, born in 2018. The identities of the children's fathers were not disclosed. This news came as a pleasant surprise to many fans, as Furtado had not previously spoken publicly about having any other children. Currently, she is living and taking care of her three children.

Failed Marriage and Divorce with Demacio Castellon

Nelly Furtado was married to her ex-husband, Demacio Castellon whom she tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2008. However, after eight years of marriage, Furtado and Castellon called it quits in 2016, citing personal issues.
