Robin Meade's Early Life

Robin Michelle Meade was born on April 21, 1969, in New London, Ohio, the United States. She is the daughter of Linro Meade and Sharon Meade. She went to the Malone University and Ashland University. Actor Blake Shelton is her distant cousin. 

In the university, she majored in Radio/Television production, programming, and performance. She also learned political science. From her university, she graduated in the year 1991.

From an early age, she was interested in being on the stage rather than the crowd. Right after her graduation, in the year 1992, she won the Miss Ohio pageant. She also participated in the Miss America and came close to winning it but she lost in the semi-final. 

Robin Meade's Career

Robin then left the modeling industry and worked her way into the world of news broadcasting. She started her career as the broadcast reporter in WMFD-TV in Ohio. Subsequently, she worked at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WJW-TV in Cleveland.

She joined the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV and used to anchor the morning and weekdays telecast. She even covered the 1996 Olympics and the Centennial Olympic Park Bombing. 

She is best known for covering Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She joined the CNN Headline News and her first day on air at HLN was September 11, 2001. 

In the year 2009, she wrote her own book titled, Morning Sunshine!: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It Too. She was also the moderator on the Oprah Winfrey Network show, Ask Oprah's All-Star.

Robin is also a singer and released her first album titled Brand New Day in the year 2011. She sang the song Star Spangled Banner for the NASCAR Sprint Cup pre-race activities. 

She won the Emmy Award for covering the 1995 collision between a school bus and a train. Lycos recognized Robin as one of the top 20 most popular news personalities.

Robin Meade's Personal Life

Robin is a married woman. She tied the knot with her husband, Tim Yeager on November 6, 1993, in a small and intimate ceremony surrounded by only their closest friends and family. In 2017, she disclosed that Blake Shelton is her distant cousin.

The couple was in a relationship for a long time. They met each other at their college and gradually developed chemistry as a romantic pair. In one of the interviews, Robin revealed Tim fell in love with her at first sight. She then accepted the proposal.

The couple is often seen on Instagram expressing their love for each other. They go out to dinners and long vacations and feel no hesitation sharing those moments to the world.
