An American singer-songwriter and keyboardist Toni Tennille who sang in the duo Captain and Tennille with her husband Captain Daryl Dragon. She was a daughter to Cathryn Tennille and Frank Tennille. Her father was a big band singer with the Bobcats and Bob Crosby and she was highly inspired by him to pursue her career in music. She learned to play classical piano at Auburn University. She started her professional career by singing with the university's big band named the Auburn Knights. She has already collaborated with popular musicians. She has done backup vocals on Pink Floyd's The Wall and also for Art Garfunkel on Breakaway.

Talking about her personal life, it has not been as perfect as her career. She was dating her boyfriend Kenneth Shearer and they decided to get married. After few years they could not take their relationship a lifetime.
Sadly because of some personal problems, the couple filed for divorce and got separated in late 1972. It ended in a bad note but that is life. She married her second husband Daryl Dragon on 11 November 1975 and they separated with an official divorce in July 2014.
