Actors Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's nine-year-long married relationship has come to an end. The former husband-and-wife announced their split in a joint statement to People on Monday, 2nd April.
The former couple said in the statement,
It feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it's a consequence of the lives we've chosen to lead, which we also happen to be very grateful for.
The statement further said,
We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.
The pair, later on, took to their Instagram sharing the statement.
The actors have one child, daughter Everly Tatum together in their nine-year-long marriage. Everly is turning 5 in May.
In March, they both took to their Instagram to share a beautiful snap of their face painting session with their daughter, however, Dewan later deleted the snap from her account. Tatum, 37, captioned the snap "This is what it looks like when a little tyrant fairly artist holds you down and makes your face look ''better.''
They were last seen together at the Kids' Choice Awards where Tatum took the stage to promote his upcoming animated movie Smallfoot.
The rumor about their split sparked after Dewan, 37, arrived the annual Vanity Fair Oscars after-party single. Then, Tatum told ET that her husband, Tatum, was on daddy duty and ''so happy to have a night off.''
Tatum and Dewan first met together while they worked together for the 2006 movie Step Up. They started dating shortly after their first meet, and they got married at Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, California on July 11, 2009.
