English Actor And Comedian Simon Pegg Is Living Happily With His Wife Maureen Pegg; Do They Have Children?

Pegg married Maurice McCann, a music industry publicist on July 23, 2005, in Glasgow. Four years into the marriage, the couple welcomed their daughter, Matilda who was born in the United States. Pegg has proved himself as quite a loner type celebrity as he believes that fame is just the consequence of the job which he likes.

He has somewhat established himself as a family enthusiast. In fact, it was reported that he often takes his wife and daughter with him if he needs to travel further adrift and has even introduced a five-week rule which according to him he never breaks, ' no matter what'.

While working in Hollywood one's relationship often seem like a turnstile. Very few have remained successful in keeping their vows down the road. Pulling off that marriage vows for over a decade, Pegg surely seems to have escaped successfully from tabloids playing celebrities' break-ups and feuds.

"Absolutely. I mean, I,m hoping it doesn't come to that, but in this game, it's more than possible. But, I'm so lucky. My job would be my hobby if it wasn't my agent says, 'Why didn't you tell me you were doing this job? And I think, 'Oh yeah, I'm supposed to get paid for it!"

Pegg also enjoys his fatherhood likewise as he is frequently reported to have been seen with his daughter Matilda be it on the set of kids classic Phineas and Ferb or playing Minecraft.

Maybe it's indeed what really matters to actors that ultimately goes in defining their relationships whereabouts. In Pegg's case, one thing seems obvious that he doesn't seem to be the guy who makes headlines among troubled relationships.

It may come as a surprise to know that an actor with such stature as Pegg was once struggling with alcoholism. Consequently, he has also admitted that he was in depression for quite a while.

In an interview with The Guardian, the actor claimed that his addiction was so severe that it almost ended up him with nothing and he nearly even lost his life.

“It was awful, terrible, It owned me.” 

So how once a vagabond turned himself into starring with A-list actors and directors and established himself as the patriarch of his family?

Well, one might guess having to start a family sure might have helped him out of all that boozed up life. But much to even Pegg's surprise, it didn't.

“It was the most cosmic experience of my life, I thought it would fix things and it just didn’t. Because it can’t. Nothing can, other than a dedicated approach, whether that’s therapy or medication, or whatever.”

With no epiphany whatsoever, not even from the birth of his daughter, Pegg eventually decided to seek out the rehabilitation. And, it evidently rescued him to reinstate his career in other three Impossible sequels and what has followed since then.
