Likewise, Van is also a proud father and a supporting husband. On an interview with Oakland Magazine, in 2009, Jones praised a lot about his wife.
He stated,
"Jana is a power tools kind of girl, very independent, which makes it a little easier for her and he’s not sitting there waiting for me to fix the plumbing. She’s very resourceful. She used to run marathons and climb mountains."
As far as we know, any news regarding their breakup or divorce have not been heard yet and no rumors of the couple engaged in extra-marital affairs have come into the media.

Jana, who according to a profile about Jones in The NewYorker, is an employment lawyer. The couple gave birth to two beautiful sons, younger one Mattai Jones who is probably 8 and older Cabral Jones, 12.
Jana, who is also the niece of James Earl Carter Jr- who served as the 39th President of U.S. (1977-1981), served as the Director of Search for Common Ground's USA Racial Healing Program. This proud mother of two is also a graduate of Law.
The couple with their beautiful family currently lives in California.
