Meet Paula Kalupa; Widow Of Late Oracle's Co-CEO Mark Vincent Hurd

Life is unpredictable and short indeed. Gone too soon, the late Mark Vincent Hurd was survived by his beautiful wife, Paula Kalupa, who is often remembered as the widow of the co-CEO of Oracle.
And, with no further ado, here's what you need to do about Paula Kalupa and her life beyond as the wife of Mark Vincent Hurd.
Paula Kalupa; A Former Employee At NCR Corporation
That's right Mrs. Hurd, an independent and an empowered woman on her own right previously worked at the multi-billion dollar worth company, NCR Corporation, previously known as AT&T Global Information Service.

As a matter of fact, it was whilst working at the NCR Corporation, her fate collided with her then-future husband. To your surprise, Mr. Hurd as well as worked at NCR Corporation at the beginning of his career before he was originally appointed as the President of Oracle.
Needless to say, it was NCR that brought these two together and closer. And, as one thing led another, Mark eventually asked out Paula on a date. Seemingly everything is history. And, it didn't take them long to become a couple.
Kalupa Married Hurd In 1990
Things couldn't go better for these then-two young love birds when they continually went stronger whilst they were still involved at NCR. But, Hurd knew he had to step up the game and finally proposed Kalupa, prior to their wedding which took place in the year 1990.

Nearly three decades of marriage later, Kalupa and Hurd were still happily married with two smart and beautiful children, both daughters who are named after their mother's initial 'K' including Kelly Hurd and Kathryn Hurd, the younger one.
As a matter of fact, the elder one is married to her husband, Tommy Umberg. Speaking of Umberg, he is known for plying his trade at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as their corporate assistant.
Dealing With The Death Of Hurd
Sadly, Hurd left behind his family and the world on the morning of 18th October 2019, not long after he took a leave from Oracle to prioritize his health. The New York-born and bred was only 62 at the time of his death.

And, during his leave, Oracle informed that Larry Ellison and fellow CEO, Safra Catz would be in the charge of taking his responsibility of the company. Not to mention, Ellison also made an announcement that Oracle wouldn't be hiring a new CEO on the replacement of Hurd.
Kalupa and the Board members of Oracle, however, are still yet to disclose the reason behind the cause of Hurd's death. But, certainly, Hurds' corporate vision and legacy will be undoubtedly remembered for eternal time.
