Selena Gomez talks reuniting with ex-Justin Bieber and her split with boyfriend, The Weekend; “I cherish people who have really impacted my life
Selena Gomez accepted Billboard's label, Woman of the Year, and she has many things to say anything about her relationship with The Weeknd and Justin Bieber.
When she called it quits with her boyfriend, Weeknd earlier in October of this year, the actress never stated the main reason for their divorce.
Soon after her break-up, she was spotted with Justin on more than one occasion which led many people to believe Selena is patching up with her ex.
Now to answer all those rumors, the 25-year-old singer set all the record straight and said everything in an interview with Billboard.
In the cover interview, she divulged,
“Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between me and The Weeknd]. I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me.”
As both of them are big stars and had to perform from time to time. And according to the people magazine, the main reason for their break-up was conflicting schedule.
They started growing apart from one another and eventually called it quits. It was a heartbreaking moment for the couple's fans. And no, Selena didn't stop making news as soon after splitting, she was spotted multiple times with her ex Justin.
She and Justin had an on and off relationship since 2010, and fans started speculating they are together once again.
Clearing her rumors with Selena, she stated,
“I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20I. cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away.”
Well, after clearing all the rumors, the singer freed herself from all the stress she piled up due to his vague rumor. To make this year little less regretful, she has the Billboard's coveted label of Woman of the Year.
