Popularly known for portraying the iconic Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film series, Sylvester Stallone is a two-time Academy-nominated actor. Listed among one of the most revered actors in the world- the only actor in the history of Hollywood to have starred in several consecutive box office hits, Stallone's career is as thriving and acclaimed as ever.  

Besides the perpetual buzz around his profession, which continues to prosper with Sylvester's recent films and many forthcoming projects, Stallone's family life, recently marred by headlines of turbulent marriage with Jennifer Flavin, also keeps the Rocky actor trending on the internet. Sylvester and Flavin have been married for over twenty-five years. The pair are back together after their recent brief split.

After more than two decades together, Sylvester and Jennifer's marriage continues to exude features of a troubled relationship. The twosome, however, is determined to work through their differences. Stallone and Flavin recently agreed to split ways amicably- only to realize the large at stake and reconcile shortly. When the Rocky alum met Jennifer, the actor had been married twice and was a father of two.   

Stallone and Flavin made their relationship official in 1990 and went on to enjoy dating bliss for six years. The couple hit their first, in what was going to be a streak of on-and-off romance, in 1994, when Stallone dumped Flavin through a letter. Blindsided by Stallone's sudden breakup notice, Flavin later learned the actor had been having an affair with supermodel Janice Dickinson. The Academy-nominated rekindled his relationship with Flavin a year later.  

Since their first split and quick reunion in 1995, Stallone and Flavin have gained the reputation of a boomerang couple. The pair welcomed their firstborn, Sophia- out of wedlock in August 1996 and decided to dive into marital ties in May 1997. "When they got back together, it seemed they knew what they wanted," a source said about the couple, adding, "Sly is pretty much settled down. He's getting older too."    

Flavin filed for divorce from Sylvester in September!  

After their intimate wedding ceremony in London, the duo welcomed their secondborn, daughter Sistine, in June 1998. Stallone and Flavin completed their family in 2002 with the birth of their third daughter, Scarlet Rose. Although still invisible from the mainstream industry, Sylvester's daughters have made remarkable impressions over the years; the trio was Miss Golden Globes in 2017.   

Amid their approaching 25th anniversary, the couple also began to give signs of a plummeting marriage. "Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife," the action hero wrote while the rumor of their split swirled still. Stallone added, "There are not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient, the woman has meant to our lives." Jennifer filed for divorce from her famous husband in August but paused the proceedings in September.

Best known as the wife of the Academy-nominated actor, Flavin's accomplishments go way beyond just nabbing the celebrated actor. Since coming across Sylvester as a 19-year-old model in 1988, Flavin has evolved to become an entrepreneur and business owner. Born on August 14, 1968, in the Los Angeles, California, Jennifer and her six siblings were raised by a widowed mother.   

Having an iconic star for a husband has come in handy for Flavin, who appeared in many of her husband's projects over the years, including American Gladiator, Good Day Live, The Contender, and Rocky. She is the founder of Serious Skin Care Line, which aims at providing science-based skincare solutions.

While Flavin's relationship profile is as lacking as it can come, with only Sylvester as her first and, hopefully, her last man Stallone's dating history stands in complete contrast to his wife's. Before Flavin, The Expendables actor had walked down the aisle twice and had kids from his first marriage. Sylvester married his first wife, Sasha Czack, a photographer, at the age of 28 in 1974.    

During their nearly decade-long marriage, Stallone and Czack welcomed two sons, actor Sage Stallone, who died of heart disease at 36, in 2012, and Seargoah. Sylvester and Sasha had an on-off relationship amid Sylvester's admittance to infidelity until 1985 when the two called it quit for good. The actor-turned-filmmaker married his second wife, actress Bridgitte Nielson, in December 1985, but the nuptial lasted only nineteen months.  

"It was a horrible marriage," Bridgitte recalls in an interview, adding, "after I left Sylvester, I kind of felt like I was blocklisted for a long time." Known for her credits in Cobra, Red Sonja, Beverly Hills Cops, and Mercenaries, Nielson is married to her fifth husband, Mattia Dessi.
