'Black Panther' Famed Actor Chadwick Boseman is Dead; Learn The Cause of Death
Chadwick Boseman who became a global star with his role of 'T' Challa' in Marvel's 'Black Panther' died on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43.
After Chadwick's death, a statement was released on his official social media platform, which revealed the cause of his death. The statement read:
It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. â£
The statement also disclosed that the Howard University alum died in his home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side. Also, the family is thankful for the prayers and love but wishes for privacy during this difficult time.
The death of Boseman sent shocking waves in Hollywood and fans all around the world, especially given the fact that his illness was not disclosed to the public. The actor was continuously seen working; thus, his fans never assumed that he was going through a fatal illness.
Well, now in hindsight, fans realize that when the world assumed that the actor was living his best life with the sucess of blockbusters such as Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame and Marshall, but in reality, he was fighting a deadly disease with chemotherapies and multiple surgeries.
Also, the 43-year-old's death has revealed that he was a married man. He was engaged to singer Taylor Simone Ledward in 2019, but there was no news of the wedding. It seems like the couple tied the knot privately, most probably in 2020.
Chadwick Boseman was born as Chadwick Aaron Boseman in an African-American family in Anderson, South Carolina. His mother, Carolyn Boseman, worked as a nurse, and his father, Leroy Boseman was a Textile factory worker.
The actor studied Bachelor of Fine Arts from Howard University and debuted in showbiz in 2003 with a minor role in TV Series Third Watch. He continued to work in several TV shows in the cameo roles before landing a lead role.
Boseman gained major attention when he played the role of legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson in the movie titled 42. His profile further rose with movies such as Get on Up, and Marshall. The actor, however, gained worldwide fame when he played T'Challa in the mega-blockbuster film Black Panther. The film solidified his position in Hollywood as a A-list star as well as he became a icon for many young African-American people.
