Rapper Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy Is Asking Black Americans to Hold Their Vote for Joe Biden

Grammy Awards winning rapper Sean Combs thinks Black Americans should not automatically vote for Democratic candidates.

As November is inching, it is becoming more evident that former Vice President Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee for the Presidential election 2020 despite the sexual allegations from his former staff Tara Reade. Other frontrunners, such as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, are already out of the race.

For years, it is seen that majority of the Black Voters give their vote to Democratic nominees. Thus there is an expectation for the same this year too.

However, Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy, does not want this trend to occur this year unless there is a strong commitment from Joe Biden to improve the Black community. He during a video chat with Naomi Campbell recently said,

"The black vote is not going to be for free, We're going to have to see some promises. We're going to have to understand what kind of deal we’re getting. What are we getting in return for our vote?"

The rapper went on to add that the African-American community should not directly vote for Joe Biden because he is a Democratic candidate, or there is a desire to get Trump out of the office. Instead, they should hold their vote and give to the person who provides the best deal for them.

After Diddy's statement, the internet was divided as always. Some agreed with the singer's sentiment, whereas some think it was a very irresponsible statement, especially during this critical election, where the only objective should be to prevent Trump's reelection.

One of the sharp critics of the Combs' statement was Kenny Burns, his right-hand man and the senior Vice President of Brand Development for Combs Enterprises. He replied to Diddy saying;

"Puff this statement is VERY Irresponsible at this Point. THE ONLY OPTION IS TO GET TRUMP OUT OF OFFICE. Come on Champ!!! Encouraging People to Stand by is NOT AN OPTION. #VoteOrDie."

The comment from Burns did not go well with the rapper. Burns revealed that Puff Daddy deleted his comment from Instagram post and even blocked him.

Diddy, who reportedly has total net worth for $740 million, is known to involve in various charitable organizations. Also, he has been very vocal about politics and, in the past, has encouraged young people to vote through VOTE OR DIE campaigns.
