An American-Korean actor plus model, Daniel Henney is best known from Seducing M. Perfect, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Last Stand and so on. He started his career from modeling since 2001 doing shoots in various places including Italy, France, New York, London, and others. Despite having difficulties in speaking the Korean language, Daniel did the famous series named, My Lovely Sam Soon. He also voiced in the 2014 Disney featured Big Hero 6 for the character, Tadashi.
Early life and Education
Born as Daniel Phillip Henney on 28th November 1979 in Carson City, Michigan he was raised by his parents, Christine (a Korean-American) and Phillip Henney (an Irish American). Her mother was born in South Korea and was adopted by a German-American couple as an infant.
Daniel attended Carson City- Crystal High School for his schooling. He was a star basketball player during high school and led the Eagles to the MHSAA Central region championship during his senior year. Moreover, Henney enrolled at Alma College and Albion College on a basketball scholarship. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Career
Throughout his college time, he worked as a model in Italy, Paris, France, Hong Kong, and New York. Henney debuted through a South Korean advertisement for Amore Pacific's cosmetic named, Odyssey Sunrise. Later on, he became a spokesperson for Jun JI-Hyun commercial for Olympus cameras.
Henney has a problem in speaking the Korean language. Despite it, he appeared with a big role in a Korean drama, My Lovely Sam Soon by Kim Yoon-Cheol in 2005. After that, Daniel again worked in another drama named, Spring Waltz in 2006. Furthermore, he appeared in many other series including – Three Rivers, Criminal Minds, Dear My Friends, Revolution and much more.
In 2009, Daniel Henney appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine along with Hugh Jackman as Agent Zero. Henney also appeared in many other films like- Big Hero, One Night Surprise, Papa, My Father, Seducing Mr. Perfect and much more.
