Jacqueline Dena Guber also known as Jackie Danforth, was born on June 14, 1968, in the United States and is the sole offspring of the renowned TV journalist Barbara Walters. She was adopted by Walters and her second husband, Lee Guber, in 1968 after the couple's experience of three miscarriages. Sadly, Barbara Walters passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 93.

Barbara Walters and her former husband, Lee Guber, adopted Jacqueline Dena Guber as a newborn in 1968 after struggling with fertility issues, including three miscarriages. The adoption process was unconventional, as during a dinner with a couple wishing to adopt a boy, they mentioned having a little girl, prompting Barbara and Lee to claim, "We'll take the girl!" 

Their relationship is known to have had its difficulties, with Jacqueline acknowledging her challenging teenage years and the struggle to assimilate into her mother's world. 

Despite these challenges, Barbara expressed her love for her daughter in several interviews and hoped to be remembered as a good and affectionate mother by Jacqueline. And Jacqueline was named after Barbara’s sister, who died of ovarian cancer in 1985.

While the official cause of her death has not been confirmed, TMZ reported that she had experienced "declining health for several years." It has also been noted that Walters battled dementia in her later years. She passed away at her Manhattan home, with friends and family by her side.

Barbara Walters got married four times to three different men. Her first husband was Robert Henry Katz, and they got married on June 20, 1955, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, but their marriage was annulled after eleven months in 1957.

In addition, her fourth husband was Bert Fields, a former diplomat and businessman, and they married in 1992 but divorced in 1995.
