Did James Keach Divorced Jane Seymour Because of A New Girlfriend?

Many love stories in Hollywood have formed on the sets. James Keach and ex-wife Jane Seymour's is one of them.

The love blossomed between Keach and Seymour on the sets of TV Series "Sunstroke." James was the director, and Jane was the actress.

Keach was head over heels about his then-girlfriend, so just after a few months, he proposed to her. However, Seymour was not yet ready. 

She was recovering from a bad marriage with her third husband, David Flynn. Also, she was still in the process of making herself financially stable after her ex-husband lost all her money in lousy business investment.

Nonetheless, Seymour's kids from her previous marriage, Katherine Flynn and Sean Flynn were already very close with Keach, so they insisted her to accept his proposal.

Upon the wishes of her children, Seymour tied the Knot with James on May 15, 1993. The wedding was attended by more than 500 friends and family members, including actors Johnny Cash and Orson Bean.

Though in the beginning, Seymour had few doubts about her fourth marriage, however, after a while, they were all gone. After two years, on November 30, 1995, the pair became parents to twins John Stacy Keach and Kristopher Steven Keach. The newborns were named after family friends Johnny Cash and Christopher Reeve, and James's brother, actor Stacy Keach.

With the addition of the kids, the bond between them became even deeper. Soon, they were counted as the ideal couple in Hollywood for long-lasting scandal-free marriage.

Sadly, it turns out things were not so good behind the scene. On April 12, 2013, after twenty-years of marriage, the pair announced that they were separating. Two years later, On December 2015, the divorce was finalized.

At the time of the divorce, the pair remained silent about the reasons. However, later Jane opened about her break-up with James. She stated:

"I thought we were going to be married for ever, but James made a choice that I wasn’t privy to. He found someone else. I felt horrible, devastated."

The "Live and Let Die" actress also said that she found about James' affair accidentally, and his new girlfriend was someone she knew, so she felt very betrayed.

Though Jane's relationship with James ended in bad terms, currently, she maintains a cordial relationship with her ex-husband because of her children. 

Nonetheless, Jane has moved on from her fourth marriage and is currently dating producer David Green. But what about James? Is he dating?

A year later, James again tied the knot. This time with actress Mimi Maynard. This relationship also did not last long, and the couple divorced in 1993. He has no kids from his second marriage.
