Jett Travolta was born on April 13, 1992, to actor John Travolta and his late wife actress Kelly Preston. He was the first child of the couple.

Jett Travolta Died at the Age of Sixteen
Jett had Kawasaki disease since the age of two and regularly had seizures. Also, he was on the autism spectrum.
In January 2009, when the Travolta family was on holiday in the Bahamas, the 16-year-old Jett suffered from a seizure and hit his head on a bathtub. Later a maid found her unconscious and rushed him to the hospital.
Sadly, it was too late, and Jett lost his life. A Bahamian death certificate was issued where the date of death is mentioned as January 2, 2009, and the cause of death to a seizure.
Two Bahamian Tried to Extort John Travolta Over Jett Travolta's death
Jett being autistic and having regular seizures was hidden from the public, hence a paramedic Tarino Lightbourne and former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater tried to blackmail Travolta and his family. They demanded money in exchange to keep silent over private information.
However, Travolta did not cave into blackmail and instead filed a case against them for extortion. In the trial, he revealed all the medical conditions of Jett and mentioned he tried his best to save his son.
The two Bahamians, Lightbourne, and Bridgewater were arrested and charged with conspiracy to extort. Later Travolta dropped the charges so that he can move past his son's death and focus on his career.
A Foundation is Created on Jett's Name
In 2009, Travolta family started a charity The Jett Travolta Foundation to help children with special needs. As of now, it has supported organizations such as The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy, Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, and Simon Wiesenthal Center.
