He is a full-time reserve officer stationed at the 32nd division training camp in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province. Lee has a younger brother Sung Yu-bin, a singer as well as a member of 'BOB4'. In 2007, he won the 8th Busan Film Critics Awards in a category of Best New Actor from his movie Gangster High .
