Louis Tomlinson Biography

Early Life

Tomlinson was born as Louis Troy Austin on 24 December 1991, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He is the youngest child of Johannah Poulston and Troy Austin. However, his parents divorced when he was too young, and later he took his stepfather, Mark Tomlinson's surname.

Tomlinson was raised along with his seven siblings in England. Tomlinson lost his mother after a short battle with leukemia in December 2016.

Early Education and Career

Tomlinson went to Hall Cross School and Hayfield School. As a student at Hall Cross, he used to be part of several musical productions. During his school days, he served as a waiter in the hospitality suites.

Later, he took the lead role of Danny Zuko in the Hall Cross musical production of Grease which encouraged him to audition for The X Factor. He gained a chance to play a small role in the television dramas ‘If I Had You’ and ‘Waterloo Road.'

Career

In 2009, Louis first auditioned as a solo artist for the British television series The X Factor but failed to make it to the final. Then he auditioned again as a solo artist in 2010 and fortunately he was put into a boy band group along with Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles which later known as One Direction.

One Direction

Following The X Factor, in 2010, One Direction was signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment. The band released their first two albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home consecutively in 2011 and 2012. The album topped all charts became a No. 1 hit in the UK.

In 2013, they released their third album Midnight Memories followed by their fourth album Four (2014) and Made in the A.M. (2015). Their single from Made in the A.M., Drag Me Down, and Perfect was a huge hit which debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart with and at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200.

Personal life

Tomlinson is in a romantic relationship with his girlfriend, Eleanor Calder who is a popular model. In an interview, Louis once revealed that he and Eleanor Calder dated back in 2011. The duo is living a blissful life and shared a strong bond with one another.

Previously, he dated several women; he dated Bethany Larkman from 2008 to 2009. He also Hanna Walker in 2010 but due to some irreconcilable differences and they broke up in 2011. 

In 2015, he dated Briana Jungwirth with whom he had a son named Freddie Reign (born on 21 January 2016). 

However, the couple couldn't handle their relationship and split apart. After that, he was romantically involved with Danielle Campbell, an actress. They dated each other until 2016.

Tomlinson was arrested on March 4, 2017. He was arrested for battery after he attacked a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport. He was released on $20,000 bail and was later due in court on March 29, 2017.

Tomlinson earned a huge name and fame from a short span of his career. He succeeds to collect the net worth of $70 million from his musical career. Despite that, One Direction has earned millions of dollar from their albums.
