Early Life and Education

Meghan Linsey was born on 10th September 1985, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana under the birth sign Sagittarius. She is American as per her nationality and is of White ethnicity. She is the daughter of Robert Moore and Randy Moore.

Linsey grew up and spent most of her childhood days in her hometown. graduated from Belmont University.

Career

Linsey was a karaoke host at a Nashville karaoke bar during her early days. She met her then-boyfriend, Joshua Scott Jones. Linsey then performed in American country music forming the band, Steel Magnolia with her then-boyfriend, Jones.

In 2009, Linsey appeared in Can You Duet, an American reality competition show aired on CMT. The show was judged by Noami Judd, Aimee Mayo, Brett Manning, Big Kenny, and Scott Borchetta.

Linsey won the second season of the show with Joshua Jones. After winning the show, Linsey signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records and released her first single, Keep On Lovin. The single was listed as a top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

In 2013, Linsey started her solo career by releasing a cover of OneRepublic’s Counting Stars. Two years later, she was selected to audition for season 8 of the popular reality show, The Voice. She became the runner-up. She chose Pharrell Williams, as her coach but was stolen by Blake Shelton after she lost in the battle rounds.

Linsey released her first Pop studio album, Bold Like a Lion in 2017. The album contains 13 songs altogether. Due to her amazing performances, she was nominated for various awards including the Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and American Country Awards.

Personal Life

Meghan Linsey is unmarried and has no children. The beautiful singer was in a relationship with singer, Joshua Scott Jones. The couple first met in Lonnie’s Western Room, a Nashville Karaoke Bar where she worked as a karaoke host. Soon after the first meeting, the couple started dating each other and engaged in 2010. 

However, the relationship did not last long, as they broke up eventually. After the separation, she began her relationship with Tyler Cain, the American producer. The couple is still together and is very supportive of each another.

Besides, Linsey got some death threats in 2017. She received the threats after she and Rico Lavelle took a knee while singing the national anthem with the player in the NFL games. This was done to protest against Donald Trump after his harsh words toward the players.

The same year, Linsey suffered a poisonous spider bite on the left side of her face. As of now, she is happy after her recovery.
