"There's a purpose to every failed relationship. It's isn't to encourage you to lower your expectations, but to raise your standards and move on with something wonderful."

For some, love is a very precious gift but people can barely understand the pain one goes through facing a number of failed relationships and breakups. Though it's often difficult to forget everything and move forward with a new love, one should try harder to achieve the best in life.

American actress Kim Delaney has gone through a number of failures in love and relationships in past and that's making her difficult to move on. Let's get the fact what's the star up to. Has she found a new love or still single?

Chicago Fire's Kim Delaney and Her Current Affair: Dating Someone Secretly Or Solely Focused In Career?

Delaney seemed pretty close with Treat Williams who played the role of her ex-husband in Chicago Fire as they posted an amazing image of the two via Twitter and Instagram.

Though they seemed an item, we can say they are just good friends and Williams has been happily married to Pam Van Sant since 1988.

She might be dating someone secretly but the thing is completely out of reach from the fans and media.

Well, let's wait and watch what goes the next!

Kim Delaney's Past Affairs And Relationships

Former NYPD Blue star Delaney married her first husband Charles Grant in the year 1984. The American actor is best known for his role as Connor McCabe in NBC's soap opera Santa Barbara.

The couple managed to be together for as long as 4 years and split apart in 1988.

Later, she married actor Joseph Cortese a year later she divorced Grant. Delaney and Cortese welcomed their son Jack Philip Cortese in 1990. The couple divorced in 1994.

She was engaged to producer Alan Barnette from 1997 to 2006.

It was an unfortunate thing that she lost custody of her son in 2005 when he testified in the court that she's keeping his life in danger by drunk-driving.

The actress who was arrested for the same case in 2002 was drunk at a friend's house. Jack stated that his mother embarrassed him and forced him to come home with her.

"I attempted to keep her from driving her car, but she was very demanding. My mother demanded that my friend go with us. He refused to drive with her because she was drunk. Unfortunately, this is not the only incident in which I have seen my mother drunk."

He added,

"I do not want to be with her until she has completed rehab and is sober. I am very concerned about my safety when I am with her."

Jack is currently living with his father, Joseph. Though Jack is not with her, she still loves him from within her heart.
