Matthew Elam's Childhood - Where Is He From?

American actor of African origin, Matthew James Elam who has been recently seen as a regular on Noah Hawley's comedy-crime series, Fargo as Lemuel Cannon hails from Los Angeles where he has been also working to hit it big in Hollywood. But, in the meantime, he is based in Chicago.

The young handsome actor realized from a young age that he wanted to pursue acting. Thankfully, his parents supported the idea of Matthew's dream and joining the Southern LA-based Amazing Grace Conservatory for Performing Arts where he enhanced his acting, singing and dancing skills.

And, as Matthew was super serious about his Hollywood dream, he later attended The Theatre School affiliated to DePaul University. He was in the class of 2018 who graduated with a degree in BFA.

Matthew Elam Debuted Wih Short Film; Papa

Since he secured a main role in Fargo co-starring Chris Rock, Emyri Crutchfield, Jeremie Harris, and Jessie Buckley, Matthew Elam has been enjoying more popularity from his role as Lemuel Cannon.

Fargo - the show gave him the utmost fame, however, isn't the only TV show Mathew has worked on. Well, climbing the complicated ladder of his career, Elam underwent hardship by working in theatres before landing on a minor role on the short film called Papa in 2012.

Later, Kames debuted as Andre Thompson in his first bigger role in the series, Chicago P.D. in 2018. James once again worked on another short movie called Good Genes as Elijah.

After that, Elam hasn't looked back with his career and will definitely achieve more after Fargo.
