Minnesota businessman Irwin Jacobs, 89, and his ailing wife, Alexandra, who used a wheelchair Jacobs, were found dead at their sprawling $22 million mansion. Reportedly, one of the couple's friends, Dennis Mathisen, described it as a murder-suicide.
He said that Irwin first shot Alexandra and pulled the trigger on himself.
On April 10, 2019, their bodies were found on the bed next to a handgun. On a routine visit to the Minnesota residence on Wednesday morning, the Orono Police Chief Correy Farniok reported in a press conference.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's OSheriff'se, officers had an immediate response to Irwin and Alexandra Jacobs's TaJacobs'sll estate at 1700 Shoreline Drive shortly after 8:30 in the morning. They discovered the dead bodies of Jacobs and his wife in the bedroom.
Moreover, Farniok said that he was waiting for the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's OExaminer'sfficially release their identities after mentioning;
“Officers with the Orono Police Department made entry into the home. Upon entering, we found two individuals deceased — one adult male, one adult female — they were both inside the house and a gun was recovered.”
The Irwin's compaIrwin'sobs Management Corp. later released a statement on behalf of the sad news of the billionaire and his wife, who had been in a marital relationship for almost six decades with their five children.
The statement obtained by The Star Tribune read;
“Our family is shocked and devastated by the death of our parents, Irwin and Alexandra Jacobs. We are heartbroken by this loss, and we ask that our privacy be respected as we grieve during this very difficult time.”
