2 years ago this week we broke ground on the #FrankGrandeSchool in Malawi using my winnings from Big Brother... Today the school is done and we also completed another in Senegal. I often get asked how do i deal with negativity and hate in the world and i always answer, by giving back to the world. The only way to conquer hate is with love. I love you. Help someone today. @buildon
In 2007, Grande co-founded a non-profit arts organization Broadway in South Africa. Subsequently, he traveled down to South Africa teaching performance arts to disadvantaged youth for seven years. Later on, the charity merged with buildOn.
Likewise, Grande helped buildOn to build schools in Malawi, a rural village of southeastern Africa. To his gratitude, buildOn honored him with its Global Impact Award in 2014.

Most importantly, Grande donated the money that he won on Big Brother 16 to buildOn for building another school in Africa.
In January 2015, Frankie returned to Malawi helping to construct a school in memory of his grandfather. For the campaign, Grande raised money to fund the school where he surpassed the goal of $70,000.

Also, Frankie Grande came to the headlines after the annual "Broadway Sings for Pride" benefit concert held in New York. There he showed active participation in AIDS/LifeCycle, a yearly event that raises money to fight HIV/AIDS. Above all, he helped to raise over $38,000 in 2018.
Above all, it's really a matter of celebration this year as Frankie is celebrating 20 months of sobriety and his sister Ariana Grande is so glad to see her brother like that.
He wrote a note being sober on Instagram on 16th February 2019. He stated,
"today i have 20 months sober. i am extremely proud. this hasn’t been easy. when you get sober... life still happens. you have to deal with all the same highs and lows as you did when you were using but now you don’t have the ability to numb yourself. you feel it. you feel everything. good and bad. but there is also beauty in that. over the past 20 months i have felt loss but i have also felt love. i felt joy but i also felt grief. but the bottom line is... i felt. and that is such a gift."
